Oude Molen Distillery: Worcester Street - Elgin, Grabouw

Visit Oude Molen Distillery for an insightful tour of the distillery and see the three largest Copper pot stills in the Southern Hemisphere of Africa.
The tour starts off with a 15 minute audio visual relating the interesting story about the "Father of South African Brandy", Rene Santhagens and is narrated by the South Afican award winning actor, Marius Wyers. In this story we learn about the man Rene, and how he started the Oude Molen brand at the foothills of the Pappagaai Mountains in Stellenbosch.

After an informative walk through the distillery you are then led into the Maturation Cellar where you will watch a second audio visual with surround sound and other dramatic effects.

The tour lasts for about 1 hour and thereafter you will taste Oude Molens award winning Brandies.

The VOV- 14 Year Old has won Gold and "Best in it's Class" at the Wine and Spirits Competition in London, and the 100 Reserve or ( 8 Year Old) won Silver and " Best in it's Class" at the same Competition.

The tour costs R40.00 per person and the tasting glass is your souvenier.
